Otak Berputar-putar

DAMN.
My head is as heavy as a piece of rock. I am having one of my panda-eye days. Drinking a big cup of Milo + Nescafe for breakfast might not help me to stay alert in class today because I can hear my body whispering 'Katil...Bantal...TEDDY...'. Shit. It's 7.34am. I need to get going. Grab my scarf and get ready. And boleh pula, someone is snoring like no one's business beside me while I'm suffering from this misery. Nooooo....I better get going! Think HAPPY TOUGHTS. Happy thoughts Ain!! Class is INTERESTING. LECTURERS are FUN. I just need to stay awake for two hours. Two hours. And that's it. Then I can reward myself with a gooooood sleeeep....

The one who eats surat khabar lama. The one eats Johnson & Johnson's powder. The one that always gets the attention. The one that always gets scolding after school, because all smothered up with €mud.dirt.rotten-smelling thing-a-ma-jig. The spoiled bit. The hard bit.

Ye Cikgu, saya faham cikgu.

Skyping with my long lost chinese tuition mate reminds me of my high school years. I was this very sakkkai suka buat kerja2 bodoh punya budak. Running around the school compound after recess just to have fun with my very sakkai mates. Main kejar2 lah kononnya. Bajet budak Darjah Satu baru. Break the stupid school rules. And also JAMBU BATU. Yess, we used to pluck jambu batu from a tree near our class. It was a must-to-do before the bell rings. And usually, me and my partner in crime will always be the first to be at the big gate masa balik sekolah. Before the bell rings, we will already be buying ice cream 50sen or sour tapes from the candyman and parents will alyways look at us with why-are-you-out-of-school-before-school-ends kind of look. We both will feel very proud of ourselves because we managed to escape from the @#$%! prefects. Whoops! My bad :P.

Ohh me, how i freakingly miss the cliques too. During recess, the miss-popular group will sit at one corner with their stuck up looks and the anime-lovers will be crapping about goku and etc. with atleast one anime comic book in their hand and the goody-goody-two-shoes will be eating their home-packed meals disscussing about upcoming exams and what is the meaning of Newton's Law. And the budak-budak sakkkai will be bengong as ever eating nasi campur at a table and LOUD laughter will always be heard from that table due to the kebengongans.

And the pakcik jaga. OHH yess. He was always there when we wanted to escape the school compound after house practices. He was always there when we wanted to jump across the pagar and he was always there when we needed to use the public phone outside. He was NEVER out of our sights when we were devil-to-be's. How good was he, the pakcik jaga that always caught us in act.

'Please kancing... Roll down your sleeves...". These are the most commonly used lines used by the budak-budak baju marroon. Frankly speaking, I kind of miss this too. Ahhhaaa! Back in Form V, I once raised my voice at the juniors for not attending Green house practice. HAHA. How funny. I went to the canteen and called out all the green house members to go to the padang for kawad kaki practice. Lawak doe. I actually shouted at them. Can you belive it. *laughing my head off*

Is it possible if I rewind back time and be a high school kiddo again? Or can I like use the time machine from Back To The Future movie so that I can be the sakkai kiddo again? Aihh, girls' school memang best tahap ceeeeppan.

NOt My thing.

ART is not my middle name.

Senoir came. And we were asked to list down 5 things about ourselves that none have yet discovered about each one one of us. It was not surprising that I was the first to 'pass up' the list. It took me about 3 minutes to actually think what to merapu about myself. It's not like it is going to be read by the dean or anything. So there it was, the first game we had to play.

Next was the drawing game. Oh sheeeeet. How I loathe drawing. The interest was still there back when I was in primary school. Drew aliens in spaceship and flowers under the bright sunny sun with bees and butterflies and people that actually look like people, not the round-headed-one-lined-body kind of people which they call stick people. The passion of drawing was built up till Standard Six. Then it fades away.......

Back to the story, we were asked to draw something about the person sitting next to us. And so I got my anak mami. I reached out for a green pen and started drawing. I was the first to complete my drawing. As usual. It was funny when I looked up, everyone was still digging their heads in their papers. Very semangat-ed melukis. I saw few drawings and compared theirs with mine. Sheeeeet. Mine has only got one color. GREEN. And that's just it. So dull and un.....unattractive. To add some 'spice' to my drawing, I reached out for pink and purple highlighter and started to scribble. Macam nampak lagi burok adalah. DAMN ME. This shows how unskillful I am in drawing. *bang**bang**die*

NO more drawings for me, please. Baik pergi baca buku Pharma punn lagi bagus Ain. A kindergarten kid can do better than you do girl.

Just Another Day.

Was paying attention. Concentrating on what she was teaching. "Cerebrospinal fluid travels from here, passing through that, and ends its journey around there..." And notes were jotted down.

One hour later.

Another lecturer took over the class. He asked questions. And my watch was ticking slower then ever. The attendant lady was at the corner of the class with her attendance sheet in front of her. And as the lecturer stepped out of the class, without hesitation and no time wasted, she called out our names. And this was what we scribbled by the end of the class.

What would you do Potatohead?

Hmm...When you have a class, you attend the class. Be punctual. Remember the way to the class. And if you are not allowed to use the hallway to get to the class, you walk up to the makcik duduk tepi corridor and ask her what's the problem. When this happens, do not panic. Just make yourself attend the class. It's the INITATIVE to attend the class that matters. Tak Ponteng. Even if it's 45 minutes late. And just when you are already outside the class, you just have to open the door and say "Sorry Miss, I got lost on the way here...". That is all. But if the lecturer's voice is heard from outside, with a very garang tone, like a harimau nak makan orang, hmm... In this situation, I think... I guess... you are excusable to step out of the department and very much welcome to the library, study. Till class ends. And then, you go back home. Safely.

RedHotBit.

And here I was, in one of the streets somewhere near the University. And the Makcik here made me reach out for my little gadget, The Handphone for a *snip* *snap*. And see how these daaarm ess-es park their cars. Let's not put them to blame. OK you see, the road is very narrow and many many cars are 'squeezing' through the very narrow street. Like a high-pressured blood gushing into the small little arteries which causes dilatation and leads to flushing and hotness of the skin. Just like how the drivers were. They became 'HOT'. Tension builds up. Stress all over. Honking like no ones business. Still, they are immobile. Still not moving. Panassssss...

EG. MAS.

Malaysia.
It was a routine to fetch Ina from school and drive around PJ to check out some kuih-muih at the gerai-gerai tepi jalan. We get all kinds. Pisang goreng. Cucur udang. Keropok lekor. Donut. Karipap. Badak berendam. Kuih lapis. How I wish these kuih-selling stalls are here in Egypt. "Genie In The Bottle...Please bring the makcik goreng pisang come here...POOF."

Egypt.
The streets are crowded with bright flourescent colourful women and weird-looking men. Where to head to when we have more time to waste after class. No makcik kuih. No gerai mamak. No 'Hard Rock' (our fav lepaqq place). No car to drive around. No stuck-in-traffic moments. No Taman Jaya. No bookstores. But the good things about this place are we get to quench our thirst with, Tuffah billaban. Cantaloupe. Faraulah. Manggo. Muz billaban. And also Fattirah bilkrimah. Salabiyah. Ummu Ali.. And others. Nicey.

How ler?

WTf. As I was melayann-ing myself walking down the serabut Mansyia street, my mind was distracted by these Arabs. What the hell are they doing up there. Nak cakap betulkan wiring dekat bangunan tu... Impossible. Nak cakap mereka-mereka ini nak bersantai... Lagi impossible. Can't really figure out. Can you?

Angel campur pelik jadi ???

Halia...Oh Halia...Why don't they sell Halia here at the suk? Oh. The fishmonger kept on yelling "Natalia! Natalia!" Since that day. And today, he finally got the chance to talk to Natalia because she needed to buy some gambari from that shop. Blurheaded and profoundly clueless on what the hell he was crapping about, Natalia just nodded and smiled and "mmhmm...mmhmm"-ed throughout the whole conversation. And the conversation was ended with a smack and a loud laugh at the fishmonger's friend by he, himself. How pelikkk.

Comel. I woke up from my short evening nap. And guess what.? I think I have been a really really good little angel these few days. Santa has left me a note with 3 smarties-topped cookies on my table. Thank you Santa :)
